Corpora and Collections
Resources keep their own addresses and subject-specific editorial responsibility. This page briefly describes their function, identifies the nature of their relationship with the Réseau-Observatoire, and points to the full record on the relevant specialist site.
Ancient Texts and Patristics
This group contains source texts, editorial reproductions, translations, bibliographic records, and materials on the history of transmission. It covers Greek, Latin, and other ancient sources, early Christian literature, Judeo-Christian materials, apocrypha, and related research.
Paracalypsis
Type: library and corpus of ancient texts
Function in the program: source of texts, bibliographic records, and parallel representations
Paracalypsis publishes ancient and early Christian materials. For included objects, the edition used, fragment structure, editorial responsibility, and relationship with translations or normalized versions are gradually specified.
An area devoted to documenting texts and ethnographic materials related to the Mapuche and the historical region of Araucania is also in preparation. It will receive a separate record once the corpus, sources, and publication conditions have been defined.
Biblical and Linguistic Resources
This group brings together source texts, morphological and syntactic data, lexicons, glosses, and reading tools. A single object may have several interfaces: source text, analytical representation, lexical record, and parallel reading version.
Institute for Biblical Content
Type: thematic infrastructure
Function in the program: coordination of biblical and related textual resources
IBC provides the thematic setting for projects on biblical texts, ancient Judaism, early Christianity, textual criticism, and source languages. Concrete normalized representations and applied profiles are registered at the level of the corresponding resource.
Biblical Hebrew for Linguists
Type: analytical resource on Biblical Hebrew
Function in the program: text, glosses, syntactic representation, and lexicon
The resource uses the electronic text of the Westminster Leningrad Codex and connects it with word-by-word glosses, syntactic analysis, and an analytical lexicon. Separate interfaces are available for verse analysis and the lexicon.
Work continues on linking lemmas to fragments, normalized definitions, and parallel versions. The bibliographic record must distinguish the electronic tradition of the Westminster Leningrad Codex from printed scholarly editions of the Hebrew text, including the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia.
Reading and Archival Platforms
This group contains versions prepared for continuous reading and open archives. They may include less scholarly apparatus than the subject corpus, but they preserve a return link to the source and to the full editorial record.
Intangible Textual Heritage
Type: open reading and archival platform
Function in the program: access to texts with long cultural circulation
ITH provides an environment for reading and preserving texts. For materials derived from a scholarly corpus, the reading-version record must point to the full source record, the edition used, and the history of corrections.
Normalized Textual Representations
This group contains documents connected with the normalized lexico-syntactic profile: the active specification, the contemporary language portal, and historical versions. They serve different functions and must not be merged into a single page.
Active Specification
Canonical location: “Reference Systems and Nomenclatures”
Content: scope, revision number, maintainer, changes, and implementations
After the first revision is approved, the MN-LS profile will receive its own permanent page. It will define the permitted properties of a normalized text and include links to examples of application.
Romanova — Texts and Resources
Type: language and publishing portal
Content: texts, dictionary, reading guide, audio, and learning materials
The portal presents complete textual implementations of the profile and the general use of romanova. It does not replace the normative record for the specification and does not serve as the main page of the Réseau-Observatoire.
Historical Romanova Documentation
Type: archive of early revisions
Content: earlier versions of the general grammar and multilingual documentation
AlterVista is preserved as a historical source. New normative decisions are published in the specifications catalogue; corrections to older pages are either recorded as a new archival revision or accompanied by a separate editorial note.
Publishing Program
The Network is preparing methodological notes, thematic bibliographies, translations, and terminology releases. Materials are first published as standalone web documents; texts connected by a shared theme may later be gathered into numbered collections.
A regular almanac or journal will be introduced only after an editorial plan, several prepared issues, and named section editors are in place. Until then, each publication has its own date, version, and recommended citation form.
